The local authorities in all the regions of the country have to carefully check the readiness of schools for the new school year, and if necessary, to quickly resolve the deficiencies, President Viktor Yanukovych said during visit to Kharkiv region.
"A week remains before start of a school year, so the authorities should go to schools to see how they are prepared. It still can be done in a short period of time, which is left," Yanukovych said.
In addition, according to Viktor Yanukovych, the local authorities should keep under their control preparations for the winter heating season, etc.
"Starting from schools, nurseries and ending with all critical infrastructures of the regions, including boilers, roads," the head of the state said.
