The Cabinet of Ministers decreed to increase the number of scholarships of the President of Ukraine for outstanding athletes of the Paralympic and Deaflympic sports and their coaches.
The essence of the amendments to the relevant laws is wider promotion of successful performance in international sports of disabled athletes and their coaches, who with their success and hard work contribute to the growing authority of the Ukrainian state in the international community.
As the chairman of the State Service of Youth and Sports Ravil Safiullin mentioned, due to the positive trends of better results showed by the disabled athletes at previous Paralympics and Deaflympics, World and European Championships and to the increase in the number of champions and winners of these games and contests, there is a need for increasing the number of scholarships of the President of Ukraine for the outstanding athletes in the Paralympic and Deaflympic sports and their coaches.
