On Wednesday night, August 22, in Kuban, rivers overflowed the banks during a downpour in Tuapse district including Plyaho, Nechepsuho and Psebe. The flood killed four people.
Streets and houses in the village Novomikhailovsky were flooded, as well as in the villages Tenhinka and Lermontovo. In total, 570 houses were flooded.
According to the local authorities, there were 1.8 thousand people in the area of flooding. In addition, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reports that about 1.5 thousand people live on the flooded territory
The emergency mode has been introduced. The Russian government has set up a working group on the liquidation of disaster, and the experts have already gone to the region. The specialists have enhanced the monitoring of sanitary and epidemiological situation in the districts of Kuban. In the emergency area, the officers continue to restore life-safety systems.
