Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych urged "not to dream" about raising tariffs for housing and communal services after the election. He also believes that the authorities of various levels should focus on preparing for winter.
"I would like to appeal to all the authorities, who have some relation to housing and utilities, the economic feasibility of utility tariffs. I warn you and I want to ask you not to dream to raise the tariffs after the election.
Dear colleagues, it is unacceptable. Under no circumstances political situation, political campaigns should affect the quality of life. This is our basic approach," he said during the meeting in Kharkiv region.
At the same time, the President noted that the preparation for winter should be given special attention. "The autumn-winter period always reveals our weaknesses, and we must do our best to prepare properly," Yanukovych said.
