Kyiv History Museum has opened the exhibition in new building in 7 Bohdan Khmelnitsky street, ForUm correspondent reports.

Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov participated in the opening ceremony.

According to him, the opening of the museum cost 5.5 million UAH from the city budget that were spent on equipping of the museum, and the building was given to the city by entrepreneurs as a charitable contribution. "Thanks to the sponsors, the building belongs to the city, and the money was spent on the purchase of exposition’s equipment," he said.

The museum consists of three floors. There are exhibits of the whole Kyiv lifetime – from the period of Kievan Rus to the present day.

Museum tickets will cost 35 UAH for adults and 15 UAH for children.

As a reminder, the Kyiv History Museum was opened in May of 1982. Until 2004, it was located in Pylyp Orlyk street in Klovsky palace. After the palace was given to the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the museum did not have its building. Its exhibits were moved to the back regions of Ukrainian House.
