The Ukrainian-Russian talks on replacement of the Black Sea Fleet armaments continue, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Russia Volodymyr Yelchenko informed.

"If the Russian party wants to settle this issue, then we need to introduce changes to the existing agreements or sign the new ones. The negotiation processes have been holding for several years, and as of today they have brought no result," Yelchenko said. However, he did not rule out that there may be some changes in the negotiation process by the end of the year.

Yelchenko said that the basic agreement, which regulates the Russian fleet’s presence in Crimea, determines the number and quality of the Russian Black Sea Fleet armaments.
