Ukraine will develop a program "Fire safety for children," deputy head of the Emergencies Ministry Vitaly But told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"From the beginning of the year, the state supervision authorities have checked 37 thousand objects with temporary or permanent stay of children, including 21 thousand schools, 12 thousand pre-schools and almost two thousand children's rest places," But said.
According to him, the separate state program is being developed in this field.
"Today, under instructions of the Prime Minister, we are developing the program "Fire safety for children." Due to the lack of funds, many fire-prevention measures are not conducted. The task is to work systematically in each object. We have nearly 20 thousand schools, so the state must assess the fire safety condition in each institution and each orphanage. For every such object, we issued a passport. We should have a complex approach to understand what every school needs," the deputy minister said.
