Sorotchinsky Fair can become one of the most famous fairs in the world, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has told the Cabinet's session, ForUm correspondent reports.

"On one side Sorotchinsky Fair is a strong emotional folk tradition, and on the other it is a significant economic event. Sorotchinsky Fair has a potential to stand in line with other world famous fairs. We just need modern infrastructure and marketing," Azarov said.

The Premier reminded that Milan international fair and world fair in Toronto also once started with selling goods of local artisans.

"This year Sorotchinsky Fair has collected more than 700 enterprises and artisans from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Germany and Poland. More than one million people have visited the fair. This is a serious scale. Let's appreciate and develop things we know to do best," the PM added.
