Until the end of 2012, about 12.000 tons of pesticides will be removed from the territory of Ukraine, ecology and natural resources minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky told during the extended meeting with the NGOs representatives.
"You know that since 2010, our Ministry has been actively solving the problem of waste disposal. For past two years we managed to utilize about 32 thousand tons of hazardous waste, which is 6.5 times more than for all the years of Ukraine's independence," he informed.
Meanwhile Stavytsky noted that the problem of waste is quite urgent for Ukraine.
