Despite the fact that this year September 1 falls on a weekend, the celebratory assemblies in the Ukrainian educational institutions will not be delayed.
Traditionally, on the Day of Knowledge, teachers will deliver greetings and hold symbolic lessons or guided tours, so children will not be tired.
Academic year 2012/2013 begins on September 1 with the Day of Knowledge and will end not later than on July 1, according to the Article 16 of the law of Ukraine on general secondary education.
Training sessions are organized by the semester system: I semester - from September 1 to December 28, II semester - from January 14 to May 24.
