The National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine approved new application forms for issuance (extension), re-issuance and the issuance of a duplicate broadcasting license, which do not include the column "Language (s) the program will be broadcasted in (%)".
Chairman of the regulator Volodymyr Manzhosov signed the corresponding decree on August 20, the official website of the National Council informs.
"These documents were prepared in connection with the entry into force of the law of Ukraine on national language policy and taking into account the repeated appeals of economic entities," the statement says.
In addition, the representatives of the National Council departments in regions, in Kyiv and Sevastopil are obliged to inform the managers of TV and radio broadcasting companies about the possibility of re-issuance of broadcasting licenses.
