Today, Russian defense minister Anatoly Serdyukov will visit Ukraine, press service of the Defense Ministry reports.
"In Kyiv, Anatoly Serdyukov will hold talks with defense minister of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin. The fifth meeting of the subcommittee on security of the Russian-Ukrainian interstate commission will be held chaired by two ministers," the press service noted.
"During the visit, the ministers will discuss issues on military and military-technical cooperation between Russia and Ukraine, including the prospects of using of the air proving ground "Nytka", cooperation in the field of maintenance, modernization and disposal of arms, military equipment and ammunition, manufacture and maintenance of aircraft," the Defense Ministry explained.
"Based on the results of meeting, the ministers will sign the final protocol, as well as the protocol on amending to the intergovernmental agreement on the use of the ground "Nytka," the press service reported.
