The introduction of the 30 % utilization fee for cars by Russian Federation will not contribute to the development of the Ukrainian-Russian relations, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during his visit to Sorochynska fair.

Azarov stressed that the parties will hold negotiations to find the mechanisms to solve this problem for the domestic automakers, the KrAZ company in particular.

According to him, he had already raised this issue before his Russian colleague Dmitri Medvedev. "Our relations have never been built on such principles. So do not force us to impose sanctions in response – nothing good will come of it," Azarov said.

He also noted that the introduction of a 30-percent fee on cars will lead to a significant reduction in the deliveries of Ukrainian cars to Russia and vice versa.

Azarov said that Medvedev has promised to instruct the Economy Ministry of the Russian Federation to explore this question, in particular concerning the Ukrainian automakers. The Economic Development, Ministry of Ukraine, in turn, will also consider this issue, Azarov said
