During today’s session, the Luhansk regional council session decided to implement the law "On principles of state language policy" in the region.
96 MPs out of 98 registered voted in favor of this decision (in total, there are 124 deputies in the council).
The document was adopted within the implementation of provisions of the new law "On principles of state language policy."
The regional council recommends village and town councils to consider this issue and decide on the use of regional languages in their work, office administration and documentation.
From now on, acts of the regional council are accepted in the state language or Russian and are officially published in these languages.
