Next year, the State Savings Bank of Ukraine (Oschadbank) intends to continue paying compensation to the USSR Savings bank depositors, head of the Oschadbank Serhiy Podrezov said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"On September 1, the registration of depositors whose data were not previously included in the "Savings depositors register" will start. The actualization of those depositors, whose data were included in the register and who received compensation in 2008 and this year will be also carried out," Podrezov said.
Next year, the amount of compensation will depend on decision of the government and the Parliament on approving the budget for the next year. Meanwhile, he supposed that this sum will amount to 1000 UAH.
The head of the Oschadbank also stressed that about 12 million depositors will be able to claim for the second wave of compensation.
According to him, all depositors, who update the registration procedure starting from September 1, will receive the national card, and in 2013, people will get their compensation by this card.
