The Cabinet develops a four-year training program to prepare Ukrainian athletes for the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games 2016, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the meeting with the top Ukrainian economic experts, ForUm learned from the Cabinet’s press office.
"We need to do much to provide our Olympians with quality preparation for the next Olympic Games. We develop a four-year training program for the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games," Azarov said.
He added that the program will provide for construction of sports infrastructure, in particular. According to the PM, currently, Ukraine does not have a good athletic arena, Olympic Stadium and the like.
"Now the world's sports facilities are constructed at a completely different level. This is a fusion of science, sports, medicine, modern technology. If we want to preserve our achievements in professional sport, we need to do a lot," the head of the government summed up.
