In the first half of 2012, Ukraine reduced import of Russian gas to 6.724 billion dollar that is by 15.4% less than in the first half of 2011, State Statistics Service of Ukraine reports.
Last month, the state company "Ukrtransgaz" reported on reduction of gas import from the Russian Federation for six months of 2012 to 16 billion cubic meters that is by 55% less than during the same period last year.
The State Statistics Service also reported on reduction of oil import (including gas condensate) in the first half of 2012 to 859.7 million dollar, which is by 61.5% less than during the same period in 2011. At the same time, the coal import increased for last six months of 2012 to 1.617 billion dollar that is by 33.4% more over the same period in 2011.
