Employees of Polish Border Guard (Straz Graniczna, SG) identified a batch of contraband cigarettes worth over 120 thousand euro on the border with Ukraine.
According to the press service of SG, the border guards found 970 thousand packs of cigarettes in two cars left by smugglers near the border of the Buh river, which the abusers traditionally used for smuggling from Ukraine to Poland.
SG noted that the Ukrainian Border Guard Service detained three men and identified another batch of contraband goods after receiving information from the Polish counterparts about the illegal cigarettes.
As a reminder, in July, the Polish Border Guard Service reported on the detention of a record batch of contraband cigarettes from Ukraine delivered over the Bug river and worth about 140 thousand euro.
