Condemned Yulia Tymoshenko has applied a statement on the official refusal to participate in a video conference on the case "Universal Trading and Investment Co. Inc. against Yulia Tymoshenko."
As the press service of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine (SPSU) reports, Tymoshenko has motivated her refusal by the fact that according to the recommendations of doctors and specialists of the German clinic Charité, now she stays in the hospital medical institution proceeding with a course of rehabilitation.
"The Condemned also makes reference in her statement to the recommendations of doctors, who advised her to refrain from participation in any activities to stay calm and avoid stress," the statement said.
SPSU reported that Tymoshenko also informed the Justice Ministry on her refusal to participate in the video conference.
In addition, the Service reminded that Kachanivska penal colony and the Central Clinical Hospital (where Tymoshenko stays now) are fitted with appropriate equipments and have all technical capabilities for video conferencing.
