The government intends to promote traditional and create new industries in small and medium-sized towns in Ukraine, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during communication with employees of cheese plant Bel Shostka Ukraine.

"Three quarters of all Ukrainian cities are small and medium. Their development should be under a special control of the government," Azarov said. In this regard, he noted that the government would apply a set of incentives of direct and indirect character including the introduction of a zero tax rate for investments in job creation.

The head of government paid a special attention to small-scale farms and farm population, where 70% of meat and dairy products are produced.

As a reminder, today Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov is on his working visit to Sumy region.
