According to the Emergencies Ministry Main Territorial Department in Crimea, a message about a traffic accident, occurred at the entrance to Symferopil (11th km of Symferopil-Kharkiv highway), was reported to the emergency services at 5.08 a.m. on August 9. The rescue vehicle, ambulance crew and the traffic police immediately arrived at the scene of the accident.
Arriving at the scene, the rescuers gave the victims first aid and transported them in ambulances.
In total, six ambulances of the Disaster Medicine Service were involved. 13 people were taken to the sixth city hospital in Symferopil, two people - to Symferopil Central Regional Hospital and two children - to the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital.
According to the preliminary information, the Mercedes minibus with 16 people (15 passengers and a driver) and the Gazel truck with a driver and a passenger were going in the same direction and clashed. Police officers are investigating into the chain of events to determine the offender.
