The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the bill on the location, design and construction of the third and fourth units of Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Yuri Boiko told journalists.
In turn, economic development and trade minister of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the bill cut funding for the project by more than 600 million UAH.
The Cabinet also approved a feasibility study for construction of the power units № 3 and № 4 of the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant.
According to the document, the installed electrical capacity of power units is 2.000 MW.
Also, the document estimated the cost of nuclear fuel for the first boot - 2.072 billion UAH.
The Cabinet assesses total expenditure on this project at 39.566 billion UAH.
