Infrastructure Ministry proposes to reduce the number of motor carriers and to enlarge the bus parks, deputy minister Konstantyn Yefimenko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The number of registered carries arouses concerns. Without taxi services we have 18 thousand registered passenger carriers, and the companies which have only one bus number 11 thousand. We need to enlarge the companies and put them under control," the deputy minister said.
According to him, the enlargement of bus parks will simplify the control over them.
"In Kharkiv there used to be 187 routes...How can you possible control that? Now there are only three large passenger carriers," Yefimenko gave an example.
