In Ukraine almost six million hectares of land are prepared for sowing of winter cereals, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Farmers have begun active preparations for the autumn field works, which will start soon. Almost six million hectares of land are prepared for sowing of winter cereals. In contrast, last year during the same period, about 5.6 million hectares were prepared for sowing of winter crops," Azarov said.
According to the Prime Minister, this is a good start for the next harvest.
