MP from the Party of Regions Vadym Kolesnichenko believes that the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will soon sign the law on the principles of national language policy.

"I think the President should sign the law soon," Kolesnichenko told reporters during his trip to rural area of Sevastopol on Tuesday.
According to him, the President instructed the expert group to find out whether the law complies with the Constitution, human rights and the European obligations of Ukraine.

"I am the author of this bill and I can say that it meets these criteria," the MP said.

At the same time, he said that he had already discussed the amendments to the law with the President: "I and my colleague Kivalov prepared 49 amendments, as for the year and a half of discussion of the bill we received proposals from the Venice Commission, the OSCE, and a number of scientific and expert institutions".

The MP believes that "these amendments will be definitely introduced to the law before its signing."
"They do not relate to the essence of the law, they are the issues of legal technique and timing of the implementation of certain provisions," Kolesnichenko emphasized.
