The organizers of the Olympic Games in London, despite two formal appeals of the Ukrainian Embassy in Great Britain, have not corrected yet the mistakes on its official website about the information on the Russian athletes coming from the Russian "region of Ukraine," a spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Oleksandr Dikusarov said at a briefing on Tuesday.

"As of August 6, the data on four athletes of the Olympic Team of the Russian Federation requires corrections," he said.

According to Dikusarov, when the inaccurate information about a number of athletes of the Russian Olympic team was published on the official website of the XXX Olympic Games, the Ukrainian Embassy immediately appealed to the organizers of the Olympiad, the International Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. A few days later, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry conducted the monitoring of situation and found that some errors were corrected, but incorrect information about six Russian athletes remained.

As Dikusarov noted, the embassy addressed once again the International Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine with the request to make appropriate corrections. The last time, when the data on four Russian athletes, published on the official web-site of XXX Olympics in London, still required corrections, the Ukrainian Embassy called the leadership of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine in London with a request to convey the concern of Ukraine about the situation in the Games organizing committee.

"We will keep analyzing and monitoring the situation. If it is necessary, we will contact again the relevant structures, responsible for the ethics of the provision of information on the official website of the XXX Olympic Games," he said.
