From today, Dnipropetrovsk region has banned the import of domestic and wild pigs, raw pork products, all kinds of meat foods of animal origin and animal feed from the territory of Zaporizhya region, where the African swine fever virus was identified. The deputy chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Lyubovych has announced today that the chairman of Regional State Administration Oleksandr Vilkul has already signed a relevant decree.

Lyubovych noted that a decision has been taken on moving pig complexes and pig farms of Dnipropetrovsk region in closed mode providing for a special sanitary regime, limiting public access to the complexes and disinfecting staff and transport.

In addition, the border guards will monitor transport caring cattle, meat products and stock feed.

The officials in Dnipropetrovsk region also focused on informing the public and the organizations in the field of trade, catering, tourism and transport about a danger of causative agent of the African swine fever and prevention of its importation from the neighboring region.
