Lutsenko’s case put off until August 10

Judge of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv Anna Medushevskaya put off consideration of the case of former Interior Minister Yury Lutsenko till August 10 due to the absence of the person affected in the case Valentyn Davydenko.

At the beginning of the meeting the lawyers of the defendants said that they considered impossible to continue the trial without the person affected Valentyn Davydenko. "He, as a person affected, has the right to take part in the debate. Therefore I think it is impossible to continue the consideration," lawyer Oleksiy Bahanets said.

The Court decided to re-call Valentyn Davydenko and put off consideration of the case till August 10 at 8:15 a.m.
