The education and science, youth and sports minister of Ukraine Dmytro Tabachnyk refuted the information about cuts in scholarships for students.
"All the addresses posted on the Facebook pages of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and vice prime minister, social policy minister Serhiy Tihipko were checked. There are no facts of cuts in scholarships in the Mechnikov Odessa National University and Odessa Polytechnic University. All the surnames are invented," the minister told a press conference on the first results of the admission campaign 2012, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, there is even an increase in the size of scholarships. "Scholarships will be paid. Indexation will be taken into account and scholarships will increase from September 1," Tabachnyk promised.
