The Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank of Ukraine will not allow the devaluation of national currency, and the hryvnia exchange rate will remain stable, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during his working visit to Zaporizhya, the press service of the Cabinet reports.

"You can see that the hryvnia exchange rate remains stable for 2.5 years. It will be stable till the elections and after it, because we solve the issue on the basis of economic development, regardless of the elections, and the economic development requires stability," Azarov said.

Communicating with employees of the Dnieper water station №1, the Prime Minister stressed one more time that the government will continue a gradual increase of wages and pensions based on the possibilities of economic growth.

"We did not switch on the minting press during the last 2.5 years, and we will not do it in the future," Azarov stressed.
