A traffic police inspector can be recorded by a video camera till he agrees to, the acting head of the State Traffic Patrol Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Reznikov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, the police forces including traffic police work openly and transparently, and all their actions, except for crisis response, can be recorded on video or taken a photo of.
In addition, Reznikov said that the state inspector, apart from being a representative of the authorities is a natural person, who is protected by the Constitution and the norms of civil law. On this basis, according to Reznikov, the inspector has the right to ban recording him as individual.
At the same time, he added that the media cover the publicly-disclosed work of the traffic police.
