Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov noted the need to improve the efficiency of medical institutions and doctors during the hot weather, he said opening the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, as ForUm correspondent reports.
"Heat is a serious threat to human health, especially senior citizens. Chronic diseases aggravate, liability to cardiovascular diseases increase. There is a serious possibility of heat strokes. This is a situation when the effective system of medicine should work. We need to prevent crisis states, intensify the work of outpatient departments and clinics. All this is a necessary daily work," the head of government said.
Azarov instructed the deputy prime minister, the minister of health Raisa Bohatyryova to put the work of doctors and medical institutions under control for this period.
He noted that, according to meteorologists, the temperature in most of the territory of Ukraine is approaching a dangerous level. The hot weather will dominate in most regions at least 10 days. This is a great threat to the people and the environment. And there is a high risk of fire in forests, steppe and Crimea.
