The Cabinet of Ministers issued the decree to open an international border-crossing point at the Kyiv-Passenger railway station.
This checkpoint should be opened for international permanent passenger transportation with non-stop mode of operation.
On December 24, 2010, was launched the experiment on simplified border and customs clearance of train № 1/2 "Kyiv - Moscow (Russia)."
Under the experiment, the Ukrainian border guards and customs officials process the documents of the passengers of these trains at the Kyiv-Passenger station and on the move from the Darnitsa station to the Kyiv-Passenger station not to disturb passengers at night at the Ukrainian-Russian border.
