Videos from surveillance cameras at polling stations can be watched on-line without access limitation, the MP Yuri Myroshnychenko, the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada, said at a press conference in Kharkiv commenting on the initiative to install video cameras at polling stations.
"The point of this system is watching the election on-line, as well as vote counting, preparation and signing the protocols," Myroshnychenko said.
According to him, the introduction of video surveillance system at the polling stations will help to avoid fraud, unfair accusations of rigging the elections and lengthy judicial proceedings on this issue.
He stressed that the Party of Regions has a great responsibility for the conduction of transparent elections. Myroshnychenko assured that the Party of Regions is ready for a fair and competitive election race.
