As of today, Ukraine’s inflation is the lowest for all years of independence as a result of the balanced and coordinated policy of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in his interview with the "Fifth channel".
"Today, as a result of the balanced and coordinated policy, we have the lowest inflation ever, for all years of independence. The prices are stabilized, and the purchasing power of the national currency pegged to prices is guaranteed. This event has a great importance for the economy," Poroshenko said.
"However, zero inflation is also unacceptable. We have a poor economic growth, so we will implement policy to make sure that the inflation level promotes economic growth, as well protects the interests of domestic producers, domestic production and job creation. I think it should be clear, transparent and understandable goal of the national economic policy," the minister said.
