Uspensky Cave Monastery located in the reserve Mariam Dere near Bakhchysarai is expected to be included to the UNESCO's World Heritage List, the Republican Committee of the Cultural Heritage of Crimea informed.
As reported, it is very important for Crimea and Ukraine that such an authoritative international body as UNESCO is studying now the possibility of including some places of interest of our peninsula in the list.
In turn, the chief consultant on cultural heritage professor Bernd von Droste recalled that many of the world's orthodox monasteries have already been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
"We must use a legacy of the past to be strong in the future," the professor said.
