Today, on the tenth anniversary of the Sknyliv tragedy, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych expressed his condolences to the families of the people killed due to the air crash, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.
"Ten years ago many of our compatriots were killed in a terrible tragedy at Sknyliv air show took place in Lviv region. Together with all the people I bow my head in memory and respect for the victims and express sincere condolences to their families and friends," the condolence message of Yanukovych says.
As a reminder, on July 27, 2002, Su-27 plane crashed at the Sknylove airport in Lviv region during the air show. 77 people, including 28 children were killed following the crash. About 250 people were injured.
