The European Court of Human Rights obliged Ukraine to pay 154.000 EUR of compensation to a Ukrainian, the resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region Bohdan Savitsky, 45.

"For the last 14 years I have been living on a miserable disability pension. I get about one thousand hryvnia. Due to a spinal injury, I can move only in a wheelchair," Bohdan Savitsky said.

Ukraine's government commissioner for the ECHR Nazar Kulchitsky said that this compensation is the highest compensation the ECHR has ever obliged Ukraine to pay.
Now the Ministry of Justice has three months to appeal against the decision of the European Court of Human Rights.
However, Ukraine has no right to appeal against the size of compensation.
