
Today, at the 124th session of the International Olympic Committee in London, the IOC member, the president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the vice-President of the International Association of Athletics Federations Serhiy Bubka was elected to the chief governing body of the key sports organization in the world - the IOC Executive Board, ForUm learned from the press service of the IOC.
As a reminder, Bubka is the IOC member since 1999.
In 1996, he became the member of the IOC Athletes' Commission and was its chairman in 2002-2008.
Following the resignation in connection with the completion of his term, he was elected the Honorary Member of the Athletes’ Commission.
Bubka was the IOC Executive Board member in 2000-2008.
