The headquarters of the Olympic Delegation of Ukraine has sent an official request to the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games XXX in London to amend urgently the false biographical data posted on the official website of the Olympic Games.
As a message of the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reports, in particular, this refers to the information about significant mistakes regarding the Russian athletes' place of birth in Ukraine.
It is noted that the Ukrainian region, designated as a part of Russia, is called the birthplace of many of the Russian national team sportsmen, born in Ukraine.
For example, Lviv region of Russia is named the birthplace of the volleyball player of the Russian national team Taras Hteya.
"The Olympic headquarters of the Ukrainian delegation will monitor developments and take appropriate actions to make necessary amendments," the statement said.
