The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov assumes that the draft law on the principles of the national language policy may be amended.

"The President and the government clearly defined their position. We stated that would thoroughly examine the proposed law, and if this law contains provisions that must be changed, if the amendments to this law are sensible, we are ready to compromise," he said in the interview with the Russian periodical.

"For us the issues of stability and unity of Ukraine are extremely important," Azarov said.

He also noted that the bill on the principles of the national language policy is the reaction of the Party of Regions to the events took place in Ukraine "during the five-year tenure of the "orange".

"We are sympathetic with the problem of the Ukrainian language - the native language of many citizens. Our government has delved into Ukrainian speaking movies and Ukrainian printing. This is the issue, which we will continue solving," the PM assured.
