The beaches in Kyiv are closed due to elevated level of E. coli in water, the immunologist from the Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine Fedir Lapiy said at the press conference "Blooming of waters and its effect on the human body, ForUm correspondent reports.
He stressed that the blooming of blue-green algae is not the reason for the closure of beaches.
The immunologist also advised not to bathe in the fountains, because they have no recycling of water for water refining.
He called rat-borne leptospirosis and enteroviral disease among the most dangerous summer diseases. To prevent infection, the doctor advised to follow the rules of hygiene, in particular, keeping your hands clean and not buying food at the unregulated markets.
