In Ukraine no quotas will be fixed on grain exports, agricultural policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.

"No quotas will be fixed. I confirm the government's position on this matter already voiced by the Prime Minister. Currently, there are no grounds for fixing quotas. We expect 45 million tons of gross harvest of grain and 10 million tons of transit stocks. This is almost double volume of consumption," Prysiazhniuk said.

However, according to the minister, in July Ukraine exported only 950 tons of grain, although in the last month 1.5 million tons were exported.

"The reason for this is not hype or lack of grain. This is because foreign consumers decided to pause and analyze the market due to a sharp rise in prices on foreign markets," the minister said.
