In Ukraine there are no reasons for increase in bread prices, agricultural policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The Ukraine’s grain harvest forecast makes up 21.5 million tons, wheat forecast - 14 million tons, domestic consumption forecast - 6.5 million tons So, there are no reasons for shortage of food grains and bread. The same refers to the price increase," Prysiazhniuk said.
Moreover, he said that the Agrarian Fund has the transit stock of 1 million ton of wheat grain in reserve. "We have the forward contract for 1 million tons of grain. To date we have received 390 thousand tons of grain under the contract," he stressed.
