
The Slavic Commonwealth 2012 Ukrainian-Belarusian-Russian battalion tactical exercises started today, on July 23, at Shirokolanovsky range in Mykolayiv region. During the exercises, the troopers from the three countries will exchange experiences.
The exercises will be led by the Chief of the airmobile forces of the land forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Col. Serhiy Lisovyi.
The landing operation involving 60 people (20 people from each of the parties) is scheduled within the joint exercises.
In general, 96 representatives from Russia, 72 militaries from Belarus and 170 Ukrainians are to take part in the exercises.
The Slavic Commonwealth 2012 exercises will end on July 27.
