Only 33% of Ukrainian youth are provided with normal living conditions, the MP, the deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada committee on construction Ihor Lysov said, ForUm correspondent reports.
In his view, the Affordable Housing public special socio-economic program is being funded to solve these problems. "The support of the state of paying 30% of cost is considered the best. In 2011, seventeen thousand families improved their living conditions. Therefore, the program was activated," the MP said.
He stressed that the price of flats built under this program, turns out lower than the market one. "The company does not operate at a loss, although the price is less, but thanks to the state support, the total revenue remains the same. The approved specifications provide for 7900 UAH per square meter, but since the government compensates 30%, the cost would be about 6000 UAH," Lysov said.
