Flood in Krasnodar region (Russia) did not affect the state of water off the coast of Crimea, the chairman of the Environmental Protection Republican Committee of the ARC Dmytro Tatarov informed, ForUm learned from the Resort Information Center of Crimea.

According to him, the Kovalevsky Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is conducting a permanent biological monitoring at several points in the coastal zone already for several years.

"To date, no abnormalities are observed. According to the data of the environmental monitoring observations of the Environmental Protection Republican Committee, the quality of sea water remains unchanged. The nature of currents and wind direction of the last few weeks testify that such contamination is unlikely," Tatarov said.
