As an exception, the former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko was granted the permission to give a call, ForUm learned from the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine press office.

"Yesterday, the leadership of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine, on an exceptional basis, decided to allow a prisoner Tymoshenko giving a call," the statement says.

According to the Penitentiary Service, Tymoshenko spoke with two people.

At the same time STSU insist that, in compliance with effective prison legislation, a prisoner has the right to the telephone conversation from stationary telephone.
In addition, the press service stressed that the Penitentiary Service employees shall not provide prisoners with their mobile phones to hold private conversations.

On July 18, the STSU referring to the statement of Tymoshenko, which she filed to the head to the Kachanovska colony, reported that the former Prime Minister intimidated prison staff and threatened to knock out a window in the hospital ward.
