Visa-free travel to other countries should not affect the relations between Ukraine and the EU, the FM spokesman Oleh Voloshyn told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The Foreign Ministry can be proud that the number of countries, which the visa regime was canceled with, increased by times for two years. Of course the question of visa-free regime with the EU is of top priority, but we should not underestimate the abolition of visa regime with Israel and Turkey. The abolition of visa regime with Brazil and Argentina is very important for Ukrainian businessmen and makes cheaper the travels for our citizens working in these countries," he said.
In his view, the main task of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is to make the world as open as possible for the Ukrainians. "However, we have a comprehensive approach. Visa regime should not affect the abolition of visa regime with the EU as they are cautious about the abolition of visa regime with some countries. But we have no problems with it so long," he said.
