The Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is interested in Ukraine’s position in the international arena in the context of our country's chairmanship in OSCE in 2013, he said during the meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian Interstate Commission in Livadia

"Ukraine and Russia are very reliable partners in the international arena. In 2013, Ukraine will chair the OSCE, we would certainly like to talk about your priorities," Putin said.

In response, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said that next year Russia will host G20 summit in St. Petersburg and Ukraine would be interested in participating in this event.

"In today's world we must not lose time. It is necessary to keep abreast," Yanukovych said.

However, he did not specify the capacity in which Ukraine, which is not the member of G20, expects to participate in the summit.
